The Go-To Destination for Travel With Kids and Family Travel
South America
The 2 Idiots love, love, love South America. We spent almost 2 months of our wonderful journey across the world in this amazing continent and have nothing but great things to say about it. The food, the wine, the majestic beauty both above land and below the sea … we can go on and on and on.
Here are the countries we have traveled with our child in South America (Peru live and others coming soon!):
Argentina, Chile, Ecuador (Galapagos), Panama, Peru
We initially mentioned Pachacamac in the itinerary that you could follow when visiting Lima. In this post, we will expand upon why Pachacamac will be a great day trip for you and your family. Located about 45 minutes to an hour outside of Lima (depending on traffic, which can be very unpredictable), Pachacamac will offer you the chance to get out and experience more of Peru’s diverse and extensive history.
Circuito Magico del Agua translates to The Magic Water Circuit—it is a fantastic water fountain park that is a Lima city icon. It was one of the coolest experiences that we had on our trip! The park has a total of 13 cybernetic fountains, all supported by the latest technology—and music, water, sound, and laser light come together to put on an incredible show.
We found Lima to be fantastic from a cultural point of view. We loved the cosmopolitan feel of the place, the cafes and museums, the history, as well as the food and drink.
