If you are looking for a casual environment or a quick snack, check out Cocovan in Grace Bay. They offer awesome fish dishes and fast food options. They are located right next to Coco Bistro and are easy to find.

The food is served from an authentic 1974 Airstream Kitchen. Although they have a menu, it varies depending on the ingredients each week. Since they buy their ingredients locally it depends on what is currently available on the island, especially when it comes to fish.

Check for their weekly specials when you get there, it often includes Sushi, Asian Sticky Ribs, and more. Other dishes available are Peking Duck Tacos, Fried Mac And Cheese Balls, Spicy Falafel Tacos, etc. The menu is kids friendly and they offer kids fries and quesadillas.

4. Hemingway’s Restaurant

The restaurant includes indoor and outdoor seating. The menu features dishes like Conch Chowder, Tuna Tartar, and Curry Lobster. They have a huge menu that includes seafood, meat, specialties, and more. The wine list is impressive too, whether you like red or white wine.

Mango Reef is great for large families because they can eat whatever they want in the same place. The restaurant serves Caribbean, American, and seafood options, and has a large kids’ menu. Settled in the beautiful ambiance of a marina, they have seating outside, inside, and on a covered patio.

You will see beautiful lights in the evening, or gorgeous views of the sea and the town during the day. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Some items on their menu are Surf & Turf, Oven-roast Herbs Pork Tenderloin Medallion, and Char-Grilled Lobster Tail.

In a laid-back atmosphere, you will feel at home, while chill island tunes are playing all day long. Sundays are reserved for live music starting at noon. On Wednesdays, live music starts at 7, and on Fridays, DJ is playing music.

8. Bugaloo’s


A picturesque place where you can sit in the water while eating fresh sit food, Bugaloo’s is ideal for awesome Instagram shots. Located on the beach, it welcomes beach attire, although the service here is equivalent to those in fancy restaurants. When you see their wine list you would never guess that people are drinking excellent international wines while being allowed to have sandy feet.

Most of the food on the menu is the Caribbean with a lot of kid-friendly options and fried food. You can eat Fried Shrimp, Local Fish, Fried Chicken Wings, and so much more. While you are snacking on this amazing food and drinks, you can watch entertainment shows like Fire Dance, James Brown, and Dominican Band.

You can spend the entire day here. They offer games like volleyball, darts, table tennis, and horseshoes. You can also sign up for horseback riding. With seating under the trees, this place is enjoyable even during the day when the sun is bright.

9. Solana

Solana is Asian-inspired kid-friendly restaurant on the beach. This is a fine dining restaurant with world-class chefs that enthusiastically prepare meals for guests. They also offer organization of parties and celebrations, so if you have a birthday coming up this might be a good place to visit.

In the bar and grill, you can enjoy sushi, cocktails, and delicious teppanyaki cuisine. The open-air bar has an amazing view of the ocean.  Top chefs will prepare marvelous specialties while you are enjoying the sunset and the sound of waves.

10. Fish Fry

The Fish Fry is not a restaurant but an event which is very popular among locals and tourists. It happens every Thursday from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. It is easily the best place to learn about and experience local culture.

Local vendors and entertainers gather to show not only the best food on the island but also cultural acts, and everything ends with a large party on the beach, under the night sky, around a bonfire.

You can guess the taste of the fish by smelling the aroma that comes from everywhere. They all offer similar dishes but differently prepared, with special emphasis on fried fish sandwiches. During your stay in Turks and Caicos, you will run into many places that claim to have the best-fried fish sandwich on the island, but it is only up to you to decide which one is the best.

Local restaurants that are often involved in this weekly festival are Froggies on da Beach, Cactus Bar and Grill, Hole in the Wall, Smokey’s on da Bay, and a lot more. This is a great tasting if it is the beginning of your vacation, so you know where to go for food later on.

The music is a great part of this festival, with local bands performing every week. It is never the same band, but during the year most of them play several times.
